USB141: Year One Or Introductory Units Are Designed To Develop Your Understanding: Building Big Report, QUT, Australia

University QUT
Subject USB141 Building Big

Unit expectations

Year One or introductory units are designed to develop your understanding of topic material and the themes, practice, and theory relating to the unit matter. As an introductory level unit, the expectation is that this will provide a starting point for your studies and as such a more liberal approach will be made with respect to the assessment of the work that is submitted.

QUT Readings provides a list of recommended texts and additional readings to support your studies. These readings with lecture notes and material are the minimum reading requirements to achieve a pass (4) grade for the unit. If you wish to achieve a grade higher than a pass, additional readings and knowledge above the basic material supplied will be required and this must be reflected in the assessment tasks.

As a full-time student, it is expected that you spend a minimum of 35 hours per week attending lectures, preparing assessment items, and carrying out additional readings. Students desiring grades of 6 or 7 will require additional reading and research time.
